Wonderfully maintained State Park along Folsom lake. There is camping, boating, fishing, picnic grounds and real bathrooms available. While camping options are limited the picnic grounds and beaches have lots of space available. The cost is $12 for a day pass. Lifeguards are available during season.

great trail! beautiful poppies and lupines blooming rn as well :)) definitely bring a hat, sunglasses, and water as it's really sunny out! especially once it gets into the full-on summer heat $12 for parking but you can use the day pass at any of the other Folsom lake spots!

Nearly perfect! It's gorgeous here! They have campsites, bike trails, swimming, boating, kayaking, all the other fun stuff! There is a snack bar, but it was closed when we were there. Lots of bathrooms (including but not limited to port-a-johns), and the only reason I gave this park 4 stars instead of 5 is because the bathrooms were filthy. Mind you, it was a packed summer day at the park but the bathrooms tore up. The cost for our day pass was $12. Well worth the price, especially if you come out for the whole day.

We always go on Mondays and Tuesdays.. not crowded, lifeguard on duty. Great picnic area, tables and grills right off the beach. Restrooms are clean. Love coming here. Dogs welcome.

Beautiful place! 1. One of the most romantic places for a walk with a couple, it's very cold in the evening, a beautiful sunset πŸŒ…. And what's cool πŸ‘ free admission in the evening. 2. You can buy it, today we still swam, but it’s better to put on shoes for diggers.

Very pretty area. We saw some of the infamous purple flowers. Nice contrast with the oak. Went jet skiing and plenty of proper markers indicating hazards. Well taken care of area. Really pretty area overall also. Mostly safe, some little land islands exposed. Water levels great. Busy busy but it was memorial day weekend. boat launches easy to use. Great lake overall Visited the campground showers- only quarters accepted. $1.00 for 10 mins. clean and private showers.

Very beautiful romantic place especially during sunset. πŸŒ… Here you can spend the evening with your beloved at sunset and with a cup of delicious coffee. β˜•οΈπŸŒ… Just take coffee with you. πŸ˜€ This is a place where you can make a great photo shoot, a lot of beautiful locations. πŸ“ΈπŸ€³ You can just be alone with yourself and with nature. 🌸🌴🌳 Here in the evening it is quiet and few people. You can feed gray squirrels. 🐿 We really enjoyed walking here in the evening. πŸ‘©β€β€οΈβ€πŸ‘¨ The signs say that there are snakes, but we did not see, look under your feet. 🐍 The place is paid only during the day for $ 12, in the evening you can drive for free. πŸ’΅πŸŒ…πŸ‘Œ

Beals point recreation area is a wonderful camping facility on the reservoir. They also have a day park. We spent two nights in the RV section. There are two sections. One is with hookups, the other without hookups. We enjoyed hookups. Having been dry camping for quite a while. It was a pleasure to have shore power, water and sewer. The 5G Tower is right here. We had two good long bike rides on the pathway. We also had a really enjoyable walk through the beach part of the reservoir. It's early April of 2022 and these amazing purple wildflowers, as well as California poppies. The fees this season for the hookup section is $48 a night, it's about 26 I believe for the other section. The other section actually is much more forested, with wonderful shade and more.
